Summary

Responsible for growing Menno Travel’s corporate and group revenues through the addition of new clients and increasing sales to existing clients.  Provide administrative and accounting support.

Principle Duties and Required Skills:

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 

New Business:

Corporate Travel:

  • Identify potential clients, both for full-service and online bookings
  • Partner with companies with similar target markets
  • Partner with companies with similar target markets
  • Use Linked In to make contacts through shared connections
  • Use connections through Chambers, Economic Development, and media to identify opportunities
  • Develop a sales strategy (objectives, goals, strategies, and tactics)
  • Develop a direct mail corporate travel marketing campaign
  • Visit potential clients with CEO

Meeting and Incentive Travel:

  • Identify opportunities for meeting and incentive travel among current accounts
  • Identify opportunities for new meeting and incentive travel clients
  • Develop a sales strategy to acquire profitable new clients

 

Growing sales to existing clients:

Corporate Travel:

  • Write content for Menno Traveler that promotes Menno Travel programs and our preferred suppliers
  • Service calls to smaller accounts
  • Work with clients to develop travel policies that encourage booking all travel with Menno Travel

Meeting and Incentive Travel:

  • Teach clients how an effective incentive travel program might be used to achieve corporate goals
  • Determine who handles incentive travel at company and sell Menno Travel

 

Administrative support

  • Ensure cash drawer is replenished with enough change for transactions.
  • Bank deposits (tally up all the cash and checks, add them together and create the bank deposit)
  • Email Marketing (run queries through client database to target the clients who fit our marketing criteria)
  • Foreign currency sales (assist customers in the purchase of foreign currency)
  • Manage Social media (manage the different social media accounts, create content, interact with followers)
  • Answering phone support ( answer phone calls, direct calls to correct agents, answer questions)
  • Deleting corporate profiles and tracking tickets for people that left a company

Language/Communication Skills

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with staff and clientele; strong written and verbal communication skills; and attention to detail

Computer Skills

  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to work with spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint
  • A familiarity with databases and reporting

Education/Experience Requirements

Education

 

Bachelor’s degree

 

Experience

 

  • Minimum of two years of sales and/or customer service experience
  • A basic knowledge of accounting

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
